Suggested Learning Activities:
13.1
Discuss with the manager who is knowledgeable of the entire temporary
modification process: what is an allowed temporary modification,
including lifted leads and jumpers; the review and approval process; the
authority of the shift supervisor; basis for this authority; and associated
responsibilities in the process, as seen by facility and design engineering
managers.
13.2
Use a case-study approach to various situations of a requested
temporary modification; focus on evaluating all applicable
considerations for the facility condition, any limitations that would be
necessary, any individuals whose advice should be sought, and when
authorization should not be given or should be delayed to involve the
facility management team.
