Calculate the heat flux for one-dimensional, steady-state heat transfer through
the following:

Parallel wall

Using data, calculate total heat transfer and local heat flux in a laminar flow
system.

Chemical Processing Personnel shall demonstrate a working level knowledge of
the construction and operation of heat exchangers.

Describe the principle of operation for the following types of heat exchangers:
Shell and tube
Fin and tube
Cooling tower

Define the following terms as they apply to heat exchangers:

Using a cutaway drawing of the following types of heat exchangers, show the
flow paths of the cooling medium and the medium to be cooled:
