ACKNOWLEDGMENT

The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Environment, Safety and Health, Office of Facility

Safety is the Sponsor for the Senior Technical Safety Manager (STSM) Qualification Standard.

The Sponsor is responsible for coordinating the development and/or review of the Functional

Area Qualification Standard by subject matter experts to ensure that the technical content of the

standard is accurate and adequate for Department-wide application for those involved in the

STSM program. The Sponsor, in coordination with the Federal Technical Capability Panel, is

also responsible for ensuring that the Functional Area Qualification Standard is maintained

current.
