An effective way of leading a group of individuals

is to allow them to lead themselves. The use of

self-managed work teams can be an effective

way to motivate employees to work more

efficiently and to work together.

The concept of self-managed work teams

focuses on the team member as the expert. By

allowing the team to make and implement

decisions, decisions are being made by those

individuals with the most knowledge and

experience.
