ACKNOWLEDGMENT

The Assistant Secretary for Environment, Safety and Health is the Sponsor for the

Department-wide Fire Protection Functional Area Qualification Standard. The Sponsor is

responsible for coordinating the development and/or review of the Standard by fire protection

engineering subject matter experts to ensure that the technical content of the standard is

accurate and adequate for Department-wide application for those involved in fire protection

engineering. The Sponsor, in coordination with the Federal Technical Capability Panel, is also

responsible for ensuring that this Standard is maintained current.
