Explain acceptable role-playing during evaluation 
a. 
Student responsibilities 
Students are expected to conduct themselves as 
though the evaluation was in an actual radiological 
area (e.g., chewing gum is not permitted). 
b. 
Instructor interface/responsibilities 
Evaluators have two main roles during the 
evaluation: 
1) 
The primary role is to evaluate whether student 
performs the entire scenario in accordance with 
pre-established criteria. 
2) 
The secondary role is to role-play as Radiological 
Control specialist, supervisor, co-worker, etc., to 
relay information that is necessary for the role- 
playing evaluation.

Review Pass/Fail Criteria 
(Guidance for establishing scoring criteria is 
contained in Attachment 1.)

Provide Students With Necessary 
Documentation/ Materials for Evaluation 
Once the facility-specific pass/fail criteria has been 
reviewed, provide the following materials at a 
minimum for the evaluation: 
1. 
RWP. 
2. 
Work procedure or task assignment (scenario). 
(Attachment 2 is an example.) 
3. 
Survey map of area (optional). (Attachment 4 is an 
example.) 
4. 
Dosimeter(s). 
5. 
Any other applicable item(s).
