Away from combustibles and other fire sources.

Protected from "unauthorized relocation," this may include locked refrigerators
and storage cabinets.

With the outside of the container clearly labeled with contents.

With provided instructions to open containers.

Posting and labeling of storage areas
Room access and cabinets, refrigerators, freezers, etc., that house the container
should be posted or labeled "Caution Radioactive Material" or "Caution Radioactive
Material Storage Area."

Chemical considerations for storage
Segregate incompatibles and store by hazard class. Appendices B and C address
chemical storage in more detail.
