SERVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS. Requirements relating to test, calibration, or
inspection to ensure that the necessary operability and quality of safety structures,
systems, and components and their support systems required for safe operations are
maintained, that facility operation is within safety limits, and the limiting control settings

SURVEY. An evaluation of the radiological conditions and potential hazards incident to

other sources of radiation. When appropriate, such an evaluation includes a physical
survey of the location of radioactive material and measurements or calculations of levels
of radiation, or concentrations or quantities of radioactive material present.
