PROTECTIVE FORCE PERSONNEL are security officers, security police officers (I, II,

III), couriers, authorized escorts, and personnel assigned to protective details, who are

employed to protect the security interests of the Department.

RANGE MASTER is the individual designated to provide overall management and

administration of a live-fire range facility to ensure that all operations and training are

conducted in accordance with applicable DOE Orders, Rules, and regulations.

RANGE SAFETY OFFICER is the designated and specifically trained individual

responsible for safety at a live-fire range.
