The U.S. Department of Energy, Richland Operations Office (RL) is the sponsor for this

occupational safety standard. The sponsor is responsible for coordinating the development

and/or review of the Functional Area Qualification Standard by subject matter experts to ensure

the technical content of the standard is accurate and adequate for Department-wide application

for those involved in occupational safety. The sponsor, in coordination with the Federal

Technical Capability Panel, is also responsible for ensuring the Functional Area Qualification
