Electrical systems personnel shall demonstrate a familiarity level knowledge of
Documented Safety Analyses as described in 10 CFR 830 Subpart B, 10 CFR
830.204, 10 CFR 830 Appendix A item F.
Supporting Knowledge and/or Skills
a.
Discuss the basic purposes and objectives of a Documented Safety Analysis.
b.
Describe the responsibilities of contractors authorized to operate DOE nuclear
facilities regarding the development and maintenance of a Documented Safety
Analysis.
c.
Define the following terms and discuss the purpose of each:
Safety Basis
Design Features
Safety Evaluation Report
d.
Describe the requirements for the scope and content of a Documented Safety
Analysis and discuss the general content of each of the required sections of a
Documented Safety Analysis.
e.
Discuss the uses that contractor management makes of a Documented Safety
Analysis.
