ACKNOWLEDGMENT

The Office of Environment, Safety, and Health is the Sponsor for the Safety Software Quality

Assurance Functional Area Qualification Standard. The Sponsor is responsible for coordinating

the development and/or review of the Functional Area Qualification Standard by subject matter

experts to ensure that the technical content of the standard is accurate and adequate for

Department-wide application for those involved with Safety Software Quality Assurance. The

Sponsor, in coordination with the Federal Technical Capability Panel, is also responsible for

ensuring that the Functional Area Qualification Standard is maintained current.
