| What is Table-Top Job Analysis? When is Table-Top Analysis the most
appropriate job analysis method? What is the Facilitator's role? What
qualities must the Facilitator possess?
Directions
Read the information about TTJA and your role. After the segment you
will be asked to apply this material to your needs.
Table-top job analysis includes a team of subject matter experts (SMEs)
and a supervisor that meets in a workshop to identify a list of tasks
performed in a specific job and to determine which of those tasks should be
included in the formal training program. A Facilitator guides the
team through the process and writes and posts the task statements on a wall
or other easy-to-see surface. The end product of the seminar will
be a valid list of tasks selected for training for that one job position.
